Sanctuary at Redfish 3-4 BR | Sleeps 6-10

About the Resort

The serene haven that is Sanctuary envelops its guests and residents in Edenic tranquility. Built with the intent to preserve as much of the surrounding natural vegetation as possible, Sanctuary leaves a minimal footprint on the environment. Luxury blends seamlessly with untouched beauty creating a truly unique and rejuvenating escape.

Set on the east side of Big Redfish Lake along scenic 30A in Blue Mountain Beach, this 64 unit complex is unmatched in amenities and locale. Big Redfish Lake is a rare natural phenomenon known as a "coastal dune lake" and these quiet bodies of water can only be found a few places on the planet.

Spacious balconies overlook the lake and view the Gulf of Mexico, while walking trails lead to picturesque gazebos perfect for watching herons alight over the water. The pool deck is also a thing of beauty consisting of three tiered pools, two jacuzzi's, a fire pit, four grills and poolside cabanas. All of this man made luxury is integrated into the lush semi-tropical foliage including the bluish-purple Gulf Coast lupine which inspired the area's name.

The interior of each vacation rental features the same level of attention to detail and unsurpassed craftsmanship as the exterior of Sanctuary. Ten foot ceilings, granite counters, upgraded appliances and master suites with jacuzzi bathtubs are among the creature comforts. Plus, a fitness center and ferry rides to the beach round out the amenities. Yet what makes the gem that is Sanctuary really sparkle has to be its fabulous location close to the hip redfish village, nearby restaurants and the Gulf of Mexico in its backyard.

  • Expansive pool deck consists of three separate pools (1 heated seasonally) + two jacuzzi tubs
  • Large gas firepit
  • Community grilling area with four gas grills
  • Underground/Covered parking
  • Fitness Center
  • Maximum occupancy is 10 people per condo

Options to access beach:

  • Pontoon boat ferry service from lake side to beach area March 1 - Oct 31 9am - 5pm
  • 6 tenths of a mile (approx 10min walk) via boardwalk around lake

Shhh............Our Little Secret

Reviewed on Monday, May 23, 2016

I hesitated to write this review, as I didn't want to share our secret about how much we enjoyed this little sliver of paradise! However, I decided I need to compliment the owner, the HOA, and Newman Dailey management on what a beautiful home this was for us during our one week vacation. We've stayed on 30A before but never here, and never on one of the rare coastal dune lakes. It was beautiful inside and out from the expertly decorated and well equipped condo to the beautiful swimming pools, hot tubs and grounds surrounding. We typically stay right on the Gulf but we loved the change of pace being on the lake provided us. We could take the pontoon taxi down to the beach, or we could kayak or canoe which we did several times, or there is a walking trail(10-15 minutes depending on your pace). And when the gulf was flat and calm we canoed out there too! If your preference is to stay directly on the gulf with a short walk, then this may not be your cup of tea. We enjoyed the different pace of having both the lake and the gulf and the views of both from this condo are magnificent!! We will be back next year!!

Relaxing Stay

We loved our stay at Sanctuary at Redfish this month. The rental was great. It was so nice to have a bathroom with each bedroom, a large dining room table, and a fully equipped kitchen. The pools were great for the kids and it was so convenient to have the pontoon and Captain Bob to shuttle us to and from the beach. Only wish there were options for larger families with more children. :)

Great Condo for Family Vacation!

Reviewed on Monday, May 2, 2016

I loved my stay at Sanctuary at Redfish 1101! The living and kitchen area was perfect for my family because it was spacious and it was a great space for us to spend time together. The bedrooms were really nice. The condo essentially has two master bedrooms which was perfect for my family – we loved having the additional small balcony off of the second bedroom as a quiet space to read and drink coffee in the mornings. In addition to that, the kids loved their bunk room and hanging out in their own space just for them! The unit was very clean and our experience was very enjoyable. My family and I will definitely be staying here again!

This unit was beautifully decorated and clean. The unit has large balconies which overlooked the pools. We stayed at Redfish 3113 with our younger teenagers; tried to find a quieter area away from the Spring Break crowd and we found it! The unit was decorated beautifully and it was very clean. The balconies were very large (we like large balconies). The 2nd floor was a great place for listening to the rain; it also had a very large and private balcony. Captain Bob took us across the lake to the beaches, a 2-3 minute ride. We never had an issue. It was a great family vacation and we would like to return to the same unit someday.

Loved our stay at Redfish 1101. The unit was in a great location, very quiet, but convenient to get to anywhere we wanted to go. There are plenty of restaurants within a short drive, along 30A. The floor plan was perfect for our family of 4 and my parents, and would easily serve for two families of 4. The living space was big, open and comfortable. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Also, having a washer and dryer in the unit was useful. The pool area was nice, but we spent most of our time on the beach. Getting too and fro was fun, on the pontoon boat with Capn'n Bob.

Best Vacation Ever at Sanctuary at Redfish

Reviewed on Tuesday, June 23, 2015

My family and I can't say enough about Sanctuary at Redfish. The grounds were immaculate and the beautiful pools were never crowded. Our view from the balcony of Unit 2115 was the best of all worlds; the pool area, the beautiful Redfish Lake and the gorgeous beach. The condo was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the short boat ride to the beach with Captain Chris and Captain Bob and really felt like it added a special touch to the trip. We made the walk to the beach also, and I would suggest that directions to the boardwalk should be included in the welcome package, as we did spend a little time trying to find it! My husband and teen boys fished every day in Redfish Lake using one of the boats that was provided and we took advantage of the kayaks and canoes. The beach was perfect--our chairs and umbrella were waiting for us every day and the private beach was never over crowded. We also appreciated the underground parking garage, as it helped to keep the vehicle cool and out of the hot June sun. Blue Mountain Creamery was great and just a short walk or bike ride away. We have stayed in other areas of 30A in the past, but this has definitely become our favorite and we will be back. We are so glad to have found Sanctuary at Redfish.

Love Sanctuary at Redfish!

Reviewed on Tuesday, May 19, 2015

Just loved the resort with the swimming pools, grill and hot tub not to mention the boat ride to the beach with Captain Bob. The beach was fabulous and not crowded like so many others are. The gift upon getting into the unit was wonderful and we ate the whole thing. Your gift coupons and information was first class, very nice touch. The only complaint we can think of there was no shampoo etc... for the showers. As we mentioned, we are looking to buy a vacation/rental home in the area. We spent time talking with guests and met several long time fulltime residents. They had nothing but good things to say about the resort and they have loved the time they have been there. One couple had lived there since it opened and another had been there 5 years plus. They then informed us that both are building homes in the area with one couple keeping their unit and the other is selling theirs. We will continue to look around the area but currently Sanctuary at Redfish is high on our list. Thanks again for being able to meet our schedule.

Awesome Sisters' Get Away

My sisters and our daughters enjoyed our annual girls trip immensely. Santuary at Redfish 2115 was a great condo and offered everything we needed. The pool cabana was an excellent feature as we have a combination of sun and air-conditioning lovers. The cabana allowed us all to be together which was awesome. Loved the less crowded atmosphere at Blue Mt. Beach. We highly recommend lunch at Local Catch and Stinky's. The lake allowed us to kayak and yolo which was great fun! The only minor negative is the distance from the beach. It wasn't as convenient as we had hoped. But I have to say, the pool cabana made up for it. Overall, our vacation was relaxing, fun, and the weather was beautiful. Can't wait to go back!!!

The TV in the big room did now work properly so it was a handicap as we could not watch TV while in the kitchen nor eating nor just sitting watching a movie, college baseball, the news, or whatever we desired. I would say that we did not get our full service we paid for because of this...it would be nice if hot pot holders were available when doing our baking while visiting there. Also, a paper towel holder would be helpful to contail the towels as we needed to tear off a sheet....I know it is not like home but these are three things that were missing.....Also, we were given wi-fi number but not the password and it took time to get that worked out....

We enjoyed our stay over Spring Break in april 2014. When we walked in were were surprised at how much room we had. It was nice, clean. We had 2 families with a total of 10 people and it was very comfortable, we didn't feel like there was a lack of space in any way. The pools were nice... It said one was heated however they all seemed quite cold. The kids didn't mind the pool temps but there weren't many adults in the water, at least not for long. The beds seemed very comfortable, above what Im used to when we go on vacation. The location is good. There is a publix about 5-10 minutes away, a walmart about 10-15 minutes away. Destin is about a 20-30 minute drive to get to the outlets/dolphin tour boats/ect. Seaside is less than 10minutes away and is a nice place for an evening. We were very happy with our choice to stay here and would probably stay here again if we choose to come to this area. We did have to get our key code at the rental office in Destin, about 20-30 minutes from the condo, and kind of out of our way, which was a little disappointing since we had already driven 16 hours but it wasn't a big deal.

Quiet, upscale, and relaxing rental on scenic 30a

Reviewed on Thursday, September 19, 2013

This was our first time at Blue Mtn Beach. The Sanctuary at Redfish was quiet and relaxing. We opted to rent the cabana for the 3 days there. That was so convenient. We were able to take all of our pool toys, drinks, and snacks down to the cabana and leave them there. It really cut down on our trips back and forth to the condo. One of the resort's 5 pools was right outside the door of our cabana. There was never anyone in it so it was like having our own private pool. The layout of the condo was great. Everyone (2 adults, 5 kids) had their own space. Kitchen was well stocked. Our only big complaint is that we would have liked a "heads up" by Newman Dailey on the road closure and detour that started just a few miles from Redfish. We got down there very late at night and not being familiar with the area, had a difficult time figuring out how to get around the closed road and to our property (which happened to be at the very end of the closed road). There are several different codes to remember as well (front gate, front door, pool, cabana, and wifi) but after using them a couple of times it got easier.

This location feels "remote" when you are eating breakfast on the balcony with a view that is incredible- but any possible need from groceries to high end shopping is within a 10 mile radius. My husband had to go down to Starbucks to get internet service. The unit was great and meet some wonderful families at the pool and beach. It was ok

Reviewed on Thursday, June 6, 2013

This was our 2nd visit to Sanctuary at Redfish, and 3120 did not meet my expectations. The condo had ample room for our family of 5 and my parents, but that is about all the good I have to say about it. It was not clean. The upstairs bathroom had someone's hair all over it, and the upstairs bedroom furniture was very dirty and stained. The sham covers in the downstairs master bedroom smelled like mans sweat - not my husbands. I killed a German cockroach while up getting a drink in the middle of the night. Yuck. The Tv's were hard to figure out because half of the channels did not have any volume. Very strange. None of the beds were comfortable as everyone complained about not sleeping or having a sore back. The patio furniture was too bulky for the space and it was impossible for us all to sit at the table at the same time - unless you went through the bedroom to access the chairs on the other side. I feel that for they $ we paid to stay in the condo for a week, we should not have to deal with the issues we encountered. We have stayed at Redfish before (in a different condo) and this is by no means a reflection on them, we love going there. Also, the staff at Newman Dailey were wonderful. My son accidentally left his Kindle Fire in a bedroom and they mailed it back! I will rent again from ND, and we will always go back to Redfish year after year...we will not be staying in 3120 though.

Thank you so much for letting us know about your experience at Sanctuary at Redfish unit 2115. We are proud to hear that you enjoyed the property so much and that you have so much regard for Newman-Dailey. The only drawback to this property is that it is not directly on the beach, but the pools are amazing - so if you don't want to take the little extra effort to get to/from the beach you can still enjoy the sunshine beside the beautiful pool.

Fun for all!

We had a great time at Sanctuary at Red Fish! I was a tad skeptical about the trip because we usually rent a home with a private pool, but this place was awesome! Our three year old loved the pools, pontoon water taxi, and the kayaks. The space was great for two grandmas, an aunt, 3 year old, newborn, and my husband and I. My husband took advantage of the added amenities and played golf a couple times too. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

Great condo complex off the beaten path!

This is a great condo complex off the beaten path! It’s tucked away on the scenic 30A highway between Destin & Panama City. I vacationed with my family of 5 along with my Nana and Pappy in condo #3120. Everyone enjoyed a great vacation and fun in the sun.

Great place for a vacation when you just want to forget it all! This condo is luxurious and clean. The extra amenities provide bike rentals, beach chairs set up on the beach, free golf, there are 4 pools and 2 hot tubs, a firepit and several grills to use. Down at the lake there are kayaks and canoes so you can take a leisurely ride over to the beach or Capt Bob will be happy to help you load your gear on the pontoon boat and take you on a ride over to the secluded beach.

Our family had a fantastic time. From the moment we walked in the door we left all our cares behind and was able to enjoy our week long vacation. All the extra amenities afforded to enjoy things we wouldn’t normally be able to. Only problem was that we didn’t want to leave!
